Send in your requests, I’ll record them (or at least the ones I like the best!) and post them here for you to listen to.
If you like what you hear throw something in the virtual guitar case…
Thanks!
- PODCAST number one – set from The Song Room, 23jul08: ‘Trust you’, ‘Sweet voice’, ‘You make my day’, ‘Daniel song’ (contains a portion of ‘Sinking Hearts’ by The Organ), ‘Face in a frame’ 28jul08
- This is a dedication rather than a request – a present to Eoghan Heaslip for his birthday. Eoghan’s a big Coldplay fan and so this song, Viva la vida, is for him:
- Mandi Cromer said she liked the version I do of Roxanne, so here it is. I’m a big Sting fan and this song is as old as I am.
- Gary McGowan asked if I would record The Beatles’ Here comes the sun for his brother-in-law Ralph’s wedding anniversary: Ralph and his wife Karen had the song at their wedding. Happy anniversary, guys! This lovely George Harrison composition is a very effective antidote for the miserable rainy weather we’ve been having, too.
- Gary and his wife Jenny also thought that Ralph and Karen would like City of blinding lights, from U2′s ‘How to dismantle an atomic bomb’ album. Apparently the Dublin band are currently in the studio working with Brian Eno on their latest offering.
